WEBSITE INFORMATION

This website we will be using as a classroom! It will have information included on it about what is coming up this week and the weeks following. I will post our lessons on here! Feel free to reach out with any questions.

THIS WEEK WE ARE...

Within this week of class, we will be beginning to cover fractions! Even though we did not have school Monday, please make sure your child is ready for week.

INTRODUCTION

Hello 3B! This week we will begin with fractions and learning how to read them. We will be working with others for the next few weeks as we begin to work with fractions!

TASK

The task for this week is to get into the assigned groups that are posted on the board. I will include a picture just incase you forget your groups. Make sure you are able to read what fractions are and pronounce them correctly. (IE. 1/5 = one fifth NOT one five)

PROCESS

Make sure you watch this video as the first thing. It gives a good general beginning to fractions. Then come prepared to class with questions or to talk about fractions. We will be adding and subtracting in class and with the help of friends.

CONCLUSION

Now that you have learned how to add and subtract fractions, make sure you keep practicing and doing examples. We would not want all that hard work to be forgotten as we move on to other types of math problems!
